From India to Rotterdam and Antwerp

We have experience with shipments from Nhava Sheva/JNPT, Mundra, Chennai, Hazira and Kolkata. Arriving through Rotterdam or Antwerp, with onward transport to the agreed destination.

The right route depends on your supplier’s location, available connections and required delivery date. Send us the origin and shipment details. We will look at the options.

What does importing from India cost?

A clear cost overview starts with the right information. Your shipment size, route, transport mode and agreed delivery terms determine the work involved.

When comparing quotes, consider:

  • Collection and local handling in India.
  • Sea or air freight and applicable surcharges.
  • Arrival charges and customs clearance.
  • Any import duties, import VAT and other levies.
  • Delivery, cargo insurance and any storage or inspections.

Check what is included and what is charged separately. We discuss the agreed services and charges so you know what the quote covers.

Documents and customs clearance

A clear commercial invoice, packing list and complete shipment details help prepare the handling. Make sure descriptions, quantities, weights and values are consistent.

Any additional documents depend on your goods. Tell us about chemicals, food products or other special requirements before booking.

Nextport coordinates the information needed for customs clearance with you. If your shipment is selected for a physical customs inspection, we coordinate the logistics and keep you informed.

For these shipments, our work starts with arrival handling. We coordinate local charges and release with the shipping line, arrange customs clearance and organise collection from the terminal. Where needed, we also arrange warehouse unloading, storage and delivery to the customer.

We track the arrival schedule and check the documents needed for handling. If a physical customs inspection is required, we coordinate the next logistical steps. The customer has one dedicated contact who knows the shipment.
